EHS Bone Marrow Drive
Amy Kren
April 28, 2008 -- Elyria High School will host a bone marrow drive, Tuesday, May 6th, from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Room 224.
The drive, part of a special program titled "Thanks Mom," lets potential donors join the National Marrow Donor Program free of charge.
Interested parties will need to complete basic paperwork and take part in simple sampling procedure on-site.
The drive is in support of Lauren Brian--EHS alum and niece of principal Dianne Quinn--who is battling lymphoma. The more people who register for the national marrow donor program, the better the chances of finding matches for people like Lauren who could potentially benefit from a transplant.
Registration also can take place on line at marrow.org. The process is free May 5th through May 19th as part of the "Thanks Mom" special offer.
See the attached flyer for details of the EHS drive on Tuesday, May 6th.
