Amy Higgins

Members of the Elyria High School Thespian Troupe 946 have returned from competition in Nebraska with high honors. The troupe traveled to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, June 22-27, to compete in the International Thespian Festival. The team earned a "Superior" rating and accolades from the judges.
Rachel Jackson, a junior at EHS, played "Mayor Matilda" in the All Ohio Delegation production of "All Shook Up" and earned a standing ovation from an audience of 2,600 thespians, theatre educators and theatre professionals. Jackson also performed in the Duet Musical Theatre Competition with recent graduate, Missy Long. Fellow graduates Stephanie Bowman and Kaitlin Vandemark competed in the Duet Mime Category. All members of the EHS troupe earned a "Superior" rating at the festival.
