August 3, 2009 -- Crews on the site of the new Elyria High School are building the structure for the second story of the new academic building and athletic complex. Pre-cast concrete slabs are being installed for the second floor of both units. The new academic building (Unit G), south of the Washington Building, is bordered by Middle and West Avenues and Seventh Street. The Athletic complex, north of the Washington Building, is bordered by Middle and West Avenues and Fifth Street.

Meanwhile, concrete walls continue to go up in other academic areas(Units D and F) and the auditorium (Unit E). Crews also are continuing their work installing electrical and plumbing lines in the masonry walls.

Attached are aerial views of the academic and athletic buildings taken from time-lapse cameras mounted on the Washington building.
