September 23, 2009 -- The soft, cakey cookie with the pink frosting simply known to students and staff of Elyria Schools as "The Pink Cookie," and sold by the hundreds in our school cafeterias, has been named "Best Cafeteria Cookie" by Cleveland Magazine.

The cookie is featured in October's 2009 "Best of Cleveland" issue. The "Best of" issue features both reader and editor picks of the most outstanding, unique or unusual things in a variety of categories.

On October 16th, the pink cookie will make its way to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland for a celebratory "Best of Cleveland" party.

Congratulations to Foodservice Director Bill Jett, Manager Jean Gawlik and the entire Elyria Schools foodservice team for this amazing honor!
