March 3, 2010 -- Mary Kathryn Karpus, board member of the Elyria Schools and Lorain County Joint Vocational School, will earn the Ohio School Board Association "Award of Achievement." The honor will be presented at OSBA's regional spring meeting in Warren, Ohio, on Wednesday, March, 24, 2010.
Achievement awards are presented to school board members who further their knowledge in board policy, board responsibilities and state regulations as they pertain to public education. Recipients of the Achievement Award attend special trainings and leadership activities on behalf of their boards of education, as well as regional and statewide OSBA activities.
