July 6, 2010 -- Parents: If your child will be five years old by September 30th, it's time to enroll in Elyria full-day kindergarten! Summer registration is happening now at the Elyria Schools Administration Building, 42101 Griswold Road.

You will need to bring your child's birth certificate (original or certified copy), two proofs of residency (utility bill, cell phone bill, rental agreement, etc.), immunization records, proof of custody (if applicable), and social security card (optional).

Elyria City School District offers a top-notch full-day kindergarten program at the Elyria Kindergarten Village and in five neighborhood school locations: Ely, Franklin, McKinley, Prospect and Spring Valley.

The Elyria Schools kindergarten program is taught by highly qualified teachers and offers a proven curriculum aligned with state standards. Low teacher-to-student ratios, specialized instruction, age-appropriate computer technology, highly interactive programming and an abundance of student-support services help define the program's success.
