August 4, 2010 -- The Elyria City School District is pleased to announce that, beginning with the 2010-2011 school year, all students at Oakwood Elementary and Crestwood Elementary Schools in Elyria, Ohio, are now eligible to receive breakfast and lunch at no cost each day as part of Provision 2 of the National School Lunch Act.

Additionally, all students attending The Kindergarten Village also meet eligibility requirements for free breakfast and lunch as part of the Federal Meal Program.

These programs provide meals to all students — regardless of income — offering good nutritional support, which in turn helps children concentrate and perform well in the classroom.
