The scene is set for The Curious Savage as Mrs. Savage inherits $10 million from her husband. The widow Savage wishes to make good use of the money, in spite of the efforts of her grown stepchildren to get their hands on it. These latter, knowing that the widow's wealth is now in negotiable securities, commit her to a sanatorium hoping to "bring her to her senses." In the sanatorium, Mrs. Savage meets various men and women who cannot adjust themselves to life; people who need the help that Mrs. Savage can provide. The self-seeking step children are driven to distraction by their vain efforts to browbeat Mrs. Savage, but she preserves her composure and leads them on a merry chase.
The EHS production of The Curious Savage is produced by Pamela J. Christian, with technical direction from Jeremy Secaur and Joe Mahan. Stage managers are Kelsey Simons and Kendall Daniel. Cast members include: Brianna Toler as Florence; Alex Craig as Hannibal; Jeanette Hagerty as Fairy May; Andy Castle as Jeffery; Haylee Hans as Mrs. Paddy; Elliot Wainwright as Titus; Kyle Comfort as Samuel; Elise Gigliotti as Lilly Belle; Rachel Jackson as Ethel/Mrs. Savage; Torrie Tillison as Miss Wilhelmina; and Ben Casteneda as Dr. Emmett.
