Board President's Message

Dear Students, Parents, Colleagues and Friends, Welcome to Elyria Schools! I am pleased and honored to serve as the president of the Elyria City School District Board of Education. Thank you, Elyria voters, for your constant support of and trust in Elyria Schools. We have much to look forward to with the beginning of a new school year on September 7th, and the opening of our brand-new Elyria High School. The high-school project, as you can imagine, has been and will continue to be an integral part of the Board of Education meetings. Board of Education meetings are held the first and third Tuesday of every month at 6:30p.m.. I encourage all citizens of Elyria to be part of the education experience and attend a Board Meeting. If you are unable to attend, the proceedings air most days, at 2 and 7 p.m., on Time Warner Channel 98, the district’s education station. The Board and administration of the Elyria City Schools work diligently to effectively communicate information on important issues. We are working together for common goals--academic excellence, fiscal responsibility, modern, safe facilities and strong community ties. With The Elyria Schools, you will find top-notch academic programming, a caring, competent teaching and support staff, an experienced, committed administration and a dedicated board that is ready to serve our students, parents and community.
