Tech WI-FI Café – Media Center

Description:
This is a café area within the media center, operated by the Food Service Department and supported by students with disabilities. The café will serve students, staff and visitors before, during and after school hours. Services and products will include hot and cold dispensed and bottled beverages, bagels, muffins, cookies, and other snack items to be produced on site. The space will have WI-FI access and will be outfitted with tables and lounge furniture.
 
The Tech WI-FI Café will enhance the current Breakfast Nook program designed to reinforce basic skills in language, counting, measurement, reading, writing, and other soft and social skills for students enrolled in the multi-handicapped special education occupation classes at Elyria High School. At present, the students use the work experience of baking, wrapping and selling brownies, muffins and cold and hot beverages by going classroom-to-classroom via carts the first three periods of school.
