Elyria High School Capital Campaign Funding Priorities
Phase I: March 2008 – Current
The following projects were identified by Elyria High School faculty and students as amenities they would like to have in their new building that are not currently covered by local or state tax dollars or other funding. To make these projects happen, we need your voluntary financial support.
- Four Mobile Computer Labs
- 20 Smart Boards – Tools for Interactive Learning
- Tech Wi-Fi Café Media Center (adopted – thank you, see below!)
- Rathskellar Senior Lounge and Community Meeting Area
- Science Courtyard – A Living Laboratory and Learning Space (adopted – thank you, see below!)
- Art Courtyard – A Special Place for Inspiration, Creation, Reflection (adopted – thank you, see below!)
- Sports Tribute Hall – A Celebration of EHS & EWHS Sports History (adopted – thank you, see below!)
- EHS Halls of History – Honoring our Past, Present and Future (adopted – thank you, see below!)
- Multi-purpose Weight Room Expansion and Equipment
- Wrestling Room – Optimizing Space
- Ornamental Gating
- Enhanced Landscaping
Funds to support the following projects have already been pledged:
- EHS Center for Science and Learning – EMH Regional Medical Center - $200,000
- Ridge Tool Media Center Computer Lab – Ridge Tool Corporation - $200,000
- Music Wing Upgrade Project - Anonymous Donor - $150,000
- Tech WiFi Café Media Center – Elyria Noon Rotary Club & Elyria Sunrise Rotary Club - $100,000
- Sports Tribute Hall of Fame – Multilink Corp. on behalf of the Kaplan family- $75,000
- Hall of History – Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems, LLC - $50,000
- Science Courtyard – Elyria Noon Kiwanis Club - $25,000
- Art Courtyard – Elyria Charities - $25,000
- Teachers' Lounge – The Altfeld Family - $25,000
