Sports Tribute Hall – A Celebration of EHS & EWHS Sports History

 
Description:
This is a request to create an enhanced Sports Tribute Hall in the lobby and corridor next to the main gymnasium and physical education spaces. The project is needed to properly highlight past and present athletic accomplishments from the long, proud history of Elyria’s two high schools. Spaces will be needed to house district, regional and state championship trophies, plaques for Elyria city high school athletes inducted into the Elyria Sports Hall of Fame, and a place to highlight current athletic accomplishments. 
 
Features will include a multi-media area where media students can showcase their research and work in telling the story of our athletic heritage. Other enhancements will include 163 feet of lighted display and trophy cases, display panels, and sports history timeline with photographs.
