Multipurpose Weight Room Equipment

Description:
This is a request to equip a multipurpose weight and fitness room located next to the gymnasium. The room is a 3,000 square foot multipurpose space capable of providing basic educational, physical fitness and training support to a limited number of students. Elyria High School must accommodate the training needs of over 400 student athletes who are members of 16 athletic teams as well as support freshmen and sophomore physical education students. 
 
Currently, the majority of fitness equipment available to students is 15 years old and it is unlikely that it will last long enough to be integrated into the new building. 
New equipment for fitness activities are both needed to meet the educational, physical fitness, and training needs of students and the lifetime fitness needs of the community.
