Any student who attends Elyria High School may utilize the services of the guidance department. Counselors are available to help students and parents with present and future educational concerns; to assist in home, school, and social situations; and provide individual counseling. Our staff will also arrange conferences with parents and teachers.
Students are asked to make an appointment with a counselor by filling in a form available from the secretary. Please come to the office between classes or with a pass. If a student does not have a study hall, counselors are available before school and after school. Students are requested to sign in when coming to the office. If the counselor is busy, the student will be asked to return to class and will be called to the guidance office when the counselor is available. The guidance office will not issue a pass to class. Students must come to the guidance office with an call slip or a pass.
