Speech

With an eye towards the future of technology, this course introduces basic communication skills and offers practical experience in speaking before an audience. The following units are offered: the communication skills, verbal communication, nonverbal communication, listening skills, and interviewing. Students will give impromptu and demonstration speeches as well as participate in researching, developing, and presenting informative and persuasive speeches and debate/argumentation. Technology will be incorporated whenever possible to enhance learning.
