Dear Franklin Families~
Can you believe that Thanksgiving is here! Time seems to be flying these days and the winter holidays are just around the corner.
Thanks for all the parents that attended our parent involvement activities this month: Parent Chat and Kindergarten Breakthrough to Literacy Program. We are hopeful that more parents will join us in our monthly Parent Chats. Your comments, suggestions and ideas really help us out a lot!
Our Thanksgiving Break begins on Wednesday, November 26th and the students return on December 1st. I hope you will enjoy the time with family and friends as I plan to do that as well.
We are excited to announce some good news at Franklin-our preschoolers and kindergarteners have a new playground in the back of the building and our 3rd graders did really well on their October Ohio Acheivement Test in Reading. Fifty percent of our 3rd graders passed the OAT. This is a test which measures what students know by the end of their 3rd grade year and so we are very proud of them!
I urge you to stay connected with your child's education and keep helping them at home by making sure they get a good amount of sleep, that you ask them about how their school day went and what are they learning. Never underestimate the important part YOU play in educating your child!
Happy Thanksgiving to all of you!
Yours for Kids~
