Description
ROLE OBJECTIVE: Provides high quality professional development and otherwise support the improvement of teaching and learning Pre K-12.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Works directly under the supervision of the Director of Teaching and Learning to plan and implement district wide professional development to refine curriculum and instruction that increase student achievement
• Collaborate with building principals, as directed by the Director of Teaching and Learning to provide professional development and support for instructional leadership
• Works with grade level and vertical content area teams to refine curriculum and instruction to increase student achievement
• Works cooperatively with the Director of Teaching and Learning to meet the requirements of Federal and State grants.
• Provides leadership and support of district initiatives.
• Supports the implementation of intervention services K-12 as directed by the Director of Teaching and Learning
• Serves as a resource to teachers and administrators regarding curriculum and instruction.
• Assists in the collection, analysis, interpretation and use of data to guide curricular and instructional decisions.
• Performs other duties as requested by the Director of Teaching and Learning as needed for the safe and efficient operation of the school or system.
Skills
Valid Ohio Administrative License, an area of concentration in at least one content area (English Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies), experience in developing and implementing curriculum and instructional programming. Pathwise or Praxis mentor training preferred.
