Principals Message



SEPTEMBER, 2009

On behalf of the entire staff at McKinley Accelerated School, I would like to welcome all of our new and returning families. We had a great first day, and it was nice to see so many smiling students and parents in the building.

This year we welcome all-day kindergarten to McKinley School. We have three sections of kindergarten this year. Mrs. Lozada, Mrs. Harding, and Miss Munro are our Kindergarten staff. Mrs. Lozada joins us from Spring Valley Early Childhood Center, Miss Munro is from KV, and Mrs. Harding previously taught first grade here.

Thank you for attending our annual Title 1 Open House last week. As usual, we had a wonderful crowd, and I was lucky enough to meet several new families. Part of our Open House is an explanation of the operation of the PTI. PTI is not charging a membership fee this year! We hope you can join us for some of our many activities during the course of the school year.

Our school newsletter is a great way to keep in touch with events happening at the school.
