Welcome students and parents to the 2011 - 2012 school year at Northwood Middle School.

My name is Nicole Bevelacqua and this is my eleventh year at Northwood. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Education from Baldwin~Wallace College and a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Education from Bowling Green State University.

I am very excited about teaching sixth grade again this year. I plan on making your child's sixth grade year of math their best one ever!

During the 1st quarter we will concentrate on whole numbers, patterns, variables, expressions, equations, and decimals.
During the 2nd quarter we will concentrate on number theory, fractions, and collecting and displaying data.
During the 3rd quarter we will concentrate on proportional relationships (ratios, percents, proportions), lines and angles, polygons, measurements and geometry.
During the 4th quarter we will concentrate on area, surface area, volume, integers, graphs, functions, and probability.
