Greetings Northwood Students and Families,
My name is Brett Heighberger and I am the principal of Northwood Middle School. I am extremely excited about the start of the 2011-2012 school year. This is the start of my second year as Northwood’s principal. Previously, I was the Associate Principal at Elyria High School and have been working in the school district since 1995. I am eager to meet you, the many new students and families, who will be attending Northwood this school year.
As a former student of Northwood Junior High School and as a graduate of Elyria High School, I take pride in working in the school district and its successes. Northwood has developed a reputation in the community of being an outstanding school. It is our goal at Northwood Middle School to maintain this high standard as we continue to raise our academic achievement levels and involvement in the community. Our school’s success is determined by the success of our students. This success is fostered by the support of our families and staff members and can only occur with active involvement in school. I urge you, the student, and your family to become actively involved in our school and play a part in Northwood’s success.
