Principals Message

We are already half way through the first grading period and it has been a wonderful time thus far. One might say, “Oh, how time flies when you are having fun”. Please continue to be diligent in creating an atmosphere of learning and fun while at home. We know that students return to school excited and ready to learn and we want to continue that enthusiasm as long as possible. Remember it is very important to stay in contact with your child’s teacher. Knowing that home and school are working together gives our students the best chance at success.

The fall fundraiser is underway and the students are working very hard to raise money for their school. Thanks to all students and parents that are helping in this endeavor.

Also, the Elyria schools will have two wonderful events coming up the first weekend of October. On Friday, October 4, the annual Tailgate Party will be held at Elyria High School from 4:30-6:30 PM. We have tickets available for sale in the school office. Also on October 4th, the first ever Family Movie Night will be held beginning at 6 PM at the EHS Performing Arts Center!

I would like to remind all parents that it is very important that all students get to school on time. The first bell rings at 8:55 a.m. and the tardy bell rings at 9:10 a.m. Students need to be on time if they want to eat breakfast before class starts. Again, we want to maintain the enthusiasm we had at the beginning of the year to be here every day and on time.

From the principal’s desk,

Ms. A. L. Dixon
