Dear Oakwood Community -
It is such a pleasure to keep you in the know about Oakwood and the happenings here at our school. Oakwood is a great school, with great students, staff, families and friends! As a new principal here at Oakwood I have found it to be stocked full of enthusiastic people striving to do what is best for kids. What a fantastic place to be.
Our staff is very dedicated, caring and experienced. Our ultimate success, though, is dependent on the cooperation and active involvement of all of our Oakwood families. It is important to talk often with our children about their school experiences, and to help stress the importance of learning and high expectations. Improving student achievement is our number one goal. We have maintained our Continuous Improvement designation by the state and hope to improve that this year.
Our fall fundraiser is underway and the students are working very hard to raise money for their school. Thanks to all students and parents that are helping in this endeavor.
