The Elyria Schools is routinely among the top performing urban districts in Ohio. Of its 12 neighborhood schools, five are rated Excellent or Excellent with Distinction and many others are Effective. Elyria students are learning more material in one year than the average and in fact, Elyria ranks 61 of more than 900 school districts in Ohio in value-added growth. Beyond the academics, Elyria offers a full complement of extracurricular and creative opportunities for athletes, artists, thespians, musicians and writers.
