Welcome to Third Grade! I, Mrs. Furnas, will be your Math and Science teacher.

This year in math you will learn your addition, subtraction and multiplication facts through a fun program called Rocket Math. You will enjoy learning many other math concepts such as geometry, measurement, fractions and number sense through partcipating in the Everyday Math activities. Expect math homework almost every day to practice what you learn in class.

In Science you will discover many fascinating facts about rocks, soil, natural resources, conservation, animal classifications and even learn some physics through fun class activities and discussions. You will learn how to study for your Science tests by making study guides for each unit.
