Personal, school or community safety concerns, and life or death emergencies, should be reported immediately by dialing 911.

Lorain County offers many resources for essential services. The Lorain County Community Action Agency has compiled a list of local, regional and national numbers and hotlines. That link is included below. 

Emergency Services

  • United Way First Call for help: Dial 211 for referrals to health and human services for everyday needs and resources in a crisis. Visit 211Lorain.org

Food resources

Second Harvest Food Bank of North Central Ohio and Elyria City School District are partners in the school-based mobile food pantry program. 

Elyria City School District hosts a monthly mobile pantry at Ely Stadium, 1915 Middle Ave.

In 2023-2024, the mobile food pantry will be held at Ely Stadium from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m.
