We are thrilled to share that every school in Elyria Schools has earned recognition from the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce for excellence in Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS). This year, our buildings were honored with Silver and Bronze Awards, showcasing the proactive work taking place to enhance school climate and student support across all grade levels.
This recognition is a testament to the hardworking staff and to our students and families, whose partnership makes this work so meaningful. Together, we are building learning environments where students feel safe, supported, and ready to succeed.
Our district’s PBIS achievements span many years. Last year, Elyria City School District was named a Lead District in PBIS implementation, earning the Bronze Award and the honor of being the first district in our region to receive this distinction.
These accomplishments are yet another example of the tremendous efforts and successes happening every day in schools. We are so proud of everyone involved—and we look forward to continuing this important work.
