Athletes from Elyria High School traveled to Force Sports Rocky River in October to participate in a Unified Sports event hosted by the Cleveland Browns.
This is Elyria’s first year participating in Unified Sports of the Special Olympics.
Unified Sports promotes social inclusion through shared sports and training exercises.
Students with and without special needs participate together and compete against other district teams.
The games held in October at Force Sports let students test their skills in flag football and soccer, but through the league, they will participate in many different types of activities.
