FREE MEALS for students during extended closure

NEW INFORMATION ON MEAL SERVICE FOR STUDENTS

Aramark Foodservice of Elyria Schools is distributing fresh meals to students during the extended closure. Meal service has now been expanded to include weekend meals, and pick-up days have been narrowed down to only Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning March 24, 2020, so that families can pick up multiple meals at a time in less trips.

The meals are packaged to go and include multiple days worth of cold breakfast and lunch items for every child under 18 years of age that resides in the home. Children do not have to be present during the pick ups.

The distribution sites are located throughout town at neighborhood schools and other community locations, and multiple pick-up times are offered.

Upon arrival, families will see an Elyria Schools foodservice truck or a yellow school bus and Elyria Schools foodservice workers will be distributing food.

The locations for pick up and times for distribution are listed below. Families should bring bags or boxes to carry the to-go meals home, as multiple meals will be provided at once. If parents do not have transportation and need assistance getting items home, Elyria Schools and First Student Transportation will deliver the packages to a family's residence. Parents should indicate a need for delivery when they arrive to pick up food.
