Lorain County Health District will host a COVID-19 vaccination clinic at Elyria High School for students of Elyria Schools, ages 16 and up.

**Important Note: registering students**

Parents will need to set up an account and then add their student as a family member when registering for the appointment.

All Ohioans, ages 16 years and up, are now eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine if desired. The COVID-19 vaccine is VOLUNTARY.

The Lorain County Health District will host a COVID-19 vaccination clinic at Elyria High School for students of Elyria Schools, ages 16 and up, who wish to receive it and who have parent/guardian permission to do so. Any student of Elyria Schools who meets the age requirement of 16 and up is eligible to receive the vaccine, including students attending Elyria Schools Virtual Academy, Early College and Lorain County Joint Vocational School.

The first of two vaccine clinics will be held on Thursday, April 29 at Elyria High School in the Performing Arts Center Lobby.

At this clinic, the Pfizer vaccine will be administered by public health nurses and by nurses of Elyria Schools. The Pfizer vaccine requires a second “booster” dose three weeks later. The second dose of the vaccine will be administered at Elyria High School on May 20.

There is no cost to receive the COVID-19 vaccine and parents/guardians do not need to be present at the vaccination clinic. As a reminder, the vaccine is voluntary and only a parent/guardian may sign a student up to receive the vaccine; students may not sign themselves up.

If your student received a different vaccine—for example: meningitis, tetanus, etc.—within two weeks of the scheduled first or second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, they may not receive the COVID-19 vaccine at this time. A 14-day window is required between vaccinations.

To register your Elyria Schools student who is 16 years or older to receive the Pfizer vaccine at Elyria High School on Thursday, April 29 please follow this link: https://armorvax-app.azurewebsites.net/Home/Invitation?code=LV8-VU7
