The Elyria City School District Endowment Funds are permanent and stable sources of funding to enhance the educational process and increase student academic achievement throughout Elyria City Schools.
A general fund and a fine arts endowment fund are held with, and invested by the Community Foundation of Lorain County.
An Advisory Board, appointed by the Elyria City Schools Board of Education, manages grant making from the funds.
The Endowment Funds are used exclusively to enrich and enhance academics, fine and performing arts and other extracurricular activities for every school in the Elyria City School District.
Since its inception, the fund continued to grow by virtue of the generosity of local citizens and school employees, business, industry, fraternal and parent teacher organizations.
Distributions of over $1 million have been made from the endowments.

About School Endowment Funds
